One of the biggest doom-metal festivals in CIS is back!
After a year long pause the cult event, Doom Over Kiev festival, is reborn and welcomes doom metal music fans from everywhere!
This time the festival is headlined by two legendary bands, whose appearance on stage has been awaited for years: Shape of Despair and Mourning Beloveth. The third headlining band is Kauan, which will give their first live performance in history.
Shape of Despair will visit CIS for the first time. Founding in 1995, the band is a an ever-strong presence on the doom metal scene, taking the funeral doom genre to a new level, masterfully mixing monolith heaviness and turbid atmosphere with melodic sound. They are a landmark and their exclusive performance in Kiev is a must-see for all fans of doom metal and a unique chance to dive into their inimitable charm.

Mourning Beloveth – another headlining band of Doom Over Kiev VI festival, who are unquestionably anywhere BUT below legendary status with more than 20-years of history in death/doom metal. They blended the genre classic approach with an almost national feeling of melancholy and tragedy. With five full-length albums they never fail to deliver uncompromisingly heavy sound, emotional guitar parts, deep growl and amazing clean vocals, stealing the hearts of death/doom metal fans across the world. The band will visit Ukraine for the first time to perform at Doom Over Kiev VI!
Kauan’s performance at Doom Over Kiev will be an amazing surprise for all fans, as it will be their first live show in history. Kauan has remained a studio project for a long time with the majority of songs performed in Finnish language. The creative work of Chelyabinsk-originated band is best described as a sparkling stream running through a snowy field. Festival’s participants will be submerged into a majestic atmosphere of saturating melancholy created by Kauan.

They are a unique band on the post-soviet scene, blending the elements of death/doom, progressive metal and a number of other genres, creating dynamic and profound music, rich in tempo and mood variations.
The renowned Kiev-based I Miss My Death, pearl of the Ukrainian gothic scene, will also be joining Doom Over Kiev VI. The symbiosis of heavy guitar riffs and melodic keyboard parts come complete with demonic male growling and tender female soprano. Having a vast performing experience, this act goes beyond music, subjecting the listener with a special philosophy on the beauty of love and death. Their aristocratic style is their local trademark.
